The Mammoth Post Backless Bench from the Mammoth Collection is built from Alaskan Yellow Cedar 4×4 timbers set side by side across a steel frame, so the seat reads as a solid mass of wood rather than a thin slatted plane. Three standard lengths, 70″, 94″, and 117″, measure 19.5″ deep at an 18″ seat height. Open on both sides, it can be approached from either direction, which suits walkways, transit platforms, and the edges of plazas and promenades where a run of benches has to hold a line. Steel frames are powder coated to coordinate with surrounding site elements or galvanized where corrosion resistance matters most. For heavier, monolithic seating in the same cedar, see the Mammoth Beam Backless Bench.
