Furnish the whole space, in wood or plastic lumber.
On several of the pieces the wood turns down and wraps the end, and the same clean lines carry through the rest: benches, picnic tables, dining and counter height tables, coffee and end tables. Furnish a courtyard from a single collection instead of three.
Specify it in Kebony, Accoya or Ipe, or in plastic lumber where maintenance matters more, on a powder coated steel frame.
There is no applied detail to hide behind: heavy sections of solid wood, steel kept thin and out of the way, and joinery that holds up to a close look. Alpine 1 covers backed, backless and deep platform seating. Alpine 2 sets solid seats on minimal panel legs. Alpine 3 stacks FSC Accoya into something closer to a landform than a bench.
