Custom Floating Ipe Benches

DM Braun recently completed a series of custom Ipe benches for a rooftop terrace in San Diego. Designed as “floating” seating elements, each bench is supported by concealed stainless steel framing that allows the hardwood surfaces to appear weightless above the terrace paving. Ipe was selected for its natural durability, dense grain, and ability to withstand heavy public use while maintaining a refined appearance over time.
